Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) is a public undergraduate university formally approved by China’s Ministry of Education in November 2018. Built as a high-level university of research and technology, it follows an applied-science model that combines academic study with practical engineering, enterprise participation and international cooperation. Its purpose-built Pingshan campus serves more than 16,200 students across 17 colleges and schools, with programs aligned to Shenzhen’s strengths in artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, integrated circuits, new energy, pharmaceuticals, transportation and creative technology. For international students, SZTU offers an increasingly broad selection of English- and Chinese-taught bachelor’s degrees, including an English-taught BEng in Artificial Intelligence launched for the 2026 intake, alongside access to a network of 110 overseas partner institutions across 25 countries and regions.

  • Academic RequirementsA senior high school diploma or above is required. Final-year students may apply with an official pre-graduation certificate.
  • Language RequirementsEnglish-taught: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 80 or Duolingo 100; Financial Management requires IELTS 6.0. Chinese-taught: HSK 5 with 180 or above.
